Beginning in 2025, a Summer Bridge Program will be provided by school districts to eligible
Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) students from private and public providers prior to enrollment
in kindergarten. The Summer Bridge Program will have an emphasis on emergent literacy
instruction grounded in the science of reading.
