This training is appropriate for directors and teachers of 4 and 5 year old children.
Course participants will gain early math knowledge and practical information about how
to structure the classroom environment and plan activities to integrate math concepts
and skills throughout the learning day. The course focuses on the Mathematical Thinking
Geometry and Spatial Relations standards outlined in the Florida Early Learning and
Developmental Standards: 4 Years Old to Kindergarten (2017) and the importance of
using a developmental progression when teaching math throughout the day.
Upon completion participants will receive 3 in-service hours reflected on their DCF transcript.
